Yea I know what you mean, everyone is too into materialistic things in the philippines, its all about having the latest cell phone, the media and all the stars, etc. I went to school there in Manila for half a year, yes I know its only a short time but a person's perspective on the outside can be better than a person that lives there. :p Hope you feel better.
